Terms of Use
Version 1.0.0 · Effective July 19, 2026 · Last updated July 19, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Flexcode Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) for your use of Flex Cashflow on mobile, web, or desktop (the “Service”).
By creating a profile, tapping continue, purchasing Premium, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You may use the Service if you have legal capacity to enter a binding contract where you live, or if a parent/guardian agrees on your behalf where that is permitted. The Service is a personal finance tool and is not directed to children under 13.
You are responsible for complying with local laws in the places where you use the Service. We may refuse, suspend, or limit access where required by law or store policies.
2. The Service
Flex Cashflow is a local-first personal finance and planning app. Core records (accounts, transactions, budgets, loans, investments, tasks, media, and related data) are created and stored primarily on your device.
Premium (also called Pro) is an optional paid subscription that may unlock cloud backup/sync across devices, live exchange rates, AI assistance, multi-device management, and other features we describe in the app. Free use does not require cloud storage of your vault.
3. Accounts, devices, and recovery
- You may create a local profile on a device without a cloud account.
- Premium attaches a cloud profile and registered devices. You should keep a recovery email current so you can restore access.
- You must keep your devices, OTPs, and credentials confidential. Activity on your devices is your responsibility.
- If you lose all devices and have no recovery email, you may permanently lose cloud access to that profile.
4. Subscriptions, trials, renewal, and cancellation
Premium subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and may be facilitated by RevenueCat. Prices, taxes, free trials, and intro offers are shown by the store before you confirm purchase and may vary by region.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in the store’s subscription settings.
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime in App Store or Google Play settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you generally keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Billing issues: If payment fails, access may enter a grace or limited period and then expire. Cloud write features, live FX, and AI may pause when Premium is not active.
- Refunds: Store purchases are billed by Apple or Google. Refund requests are handled under those stores’ policies and applicable law. We do not process card refunds inside the app.
- Deleting data ≠ cancelling billing: Erasing the app, wiping a device, or deleting a cloud vault does not cancel your store subscription. Cancel in the store separately.
5. Cloud vault, sync, restore, and backups
If you enable Premium cloud features, we store a server copy of vault data to sync and restore across your devices. Restoring from cloud or another device may overwrite data already on the receiving device.
Local export/import, LAN device transfer, and cloud sync are convenience features. They are not a guaranteed archive or insurance policy. Keep independent backups of anything important. We are not liable for data loss from device failure, failed sync, user error, revoke/wipe actions, or service interruptions, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Marketing descriptions such as vault size or feature lists describe intended capabilities and may be subject to technical limits (for example per-file or per-upload caps).
6. Device transfer and peer sync
Same-network transfer and peer sync are initiated by you and occur between devices you control. You must only transfer to devices and people you trust. Encrypted transport protects confidentiality on the local network; it does not mean we warrant uninterrupted or error-free transfer.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the Service (including sync, restore, notifications, and optional AI).
You must have the rights to any media you upload. Do not upload illegal content, malware, or executable payloads. We may enforce file-type and size limits and may remove or block content that violates these Terms or law.
8. AI features
Optional AI features may send your prompts and a limited financial context snapshot to a third-party AI provider. Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. AI output is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Review suggestions before creating or changing records. We may rate-limit or disable AI for abuse or safety.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse OTP, APIs, sync, AI, or FX endpoints (including scraping or overload)
- Bypass device authentication, share accounts beyond allowed devices, or interfere with the Service
- Use the Service for fraud, unlawful activity, or to store/distribute malicious code
- Reverse engineer the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law
- Misrepresent your identity or entitlement to Premium
10. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, and software are owned by Flexcode Labs Ltd and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as allowed by these Terms and the app stores. Feedback you send may be used freely without obligation to you. Open-source components retain their own licenses.
11. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties (including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, hosting providers, email delivery, Expo/push services, AI providers, and FX data providers). Their terms and privacy policies govern their processing. We are not responsible for outages or decisions of those providers beyond our reasonable control.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete local data from the app. Cloud account deletion (where available) requires verification and removes associated vault database records subject to the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or revoke Premium or Service access for abuse, fraud, non-payment, legal risk, or material breach. We may also discontinue or change features with reasonable notice when practicable.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CALCULATIONS, FX RATES, AI OUTPUTS, SYNC, OR BACKUPS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLEXCODE LABS LTD AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR PREMIUM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (EXCLUDING AMOUNTS PAID TO APPLE/GOOGLE THAT WE DO NOT RECEIVE), OR (B) USD 50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.
15. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
16. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. We will revise the “Last updated” date and may provide in-app or email notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived, and without limiting Apple/Google dispute processes for store purchases, the parties submit to the courts of the United Republic of Tanzania.
18. Miscellaneous
- If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- These Terms are the entire agreement for the Service and supersede prior conflicting terms about the same subject.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
